Have you ever made a toy?
The pictures show toys made by children using simple technologies, natural material and everyday material found around the home.
Have a tour in the website and you will discover lots of examples you can make on your own.
If you don’t feel confident as child toy-maker you can always ask your friends for an additional support and collaboration, or maybe ask your parent or grandparent. |
|
| Adults usually have some toy-making memories, which can be of a great value to fire the child’s creativity. So, if you are a child or an adult, please contribute to this display of handmade toys. |
|
Make one or more toys using discarded material and send us pictures or even a video, add text and toy-making instructions if you like, and we will show them on the Current display page of the website.
Sharing all this will be a real help to other children looking for inspiration.

If you are making a first attempt don’t be worry about the results, take your time and reasonable risk. We all learn by our mistakes.
Children across the World, and especially those from developing countries can be the most incredible toy-makers.
Our aim is also to campaign for them, to improve the living conditions of some kids in a refugee camp. |

To support the child’s hands-on activities and to create a debate on this issue, we also have designed a Manifesto, listing 6 children’s rights that are related to their play activities and the Planet. So, we will appreciate if you would like to send us your opinion.
Resources will be gradually added to foster your understanding of handmade toys.
